Ron delivered the Philadelphia Doctorate Course lectures in November 1952. Scientology 8-8008 had been published just prior to the course, and this book is discussed in detail in the course lectures. This series consists of 62 lectures recorded in Philadelphia, to which were added 14 supplementary lectures in London at the beginning of 1953. These lectures are about the subject of becoming OT and Ron tells bis students that one is as OT as one can cause things and the first action in becoming OT is to learn something about the subject. 1 Opening: Ron covers actual data that goes along with the subject of being a Theta Clear. What are natural laws, and how can you undo the agreements that make a preclear part of the MEST universe. 2 E-Meter:
Ron discusses what the E-METE measures and how it works. The difference between thetan logic and Homo sapiens logic. Includes a description of assessment, dynamic by dynamic, and a demonstration of creative processing. The ninth and tenth dynamics beyond this universe. 3 Creative
Processing: This lecture covers more about creative processing as Ron does a live demonstration. How to handle someone who wears glasses with creative processing. 4 Locks,
Secondaries, Engrams, Ron covers function monitoring structure. How hypnotism takes away self-determinism and what happens to a person who hypnotizes a lot of other people. Thetans have agreed to such a thing as pain, and in order to be aware, agreed that they were something that couldn't be aware! |

Gradient Scale of Handling Space, Energy and Objects Find out in this lecture what is the anatomy of failure. Is the MEST universe an illusion? How does a person perceive? About the "Home Universe" and how it can affect you as a thetan in this universe. 6 The

A Thetan Creates Find out the nature of a thetan's postulates, and why an individual who has everything done for him, has no energy to do anything for himself. Hear Ron describe the Action cycle; this is the cycle which produces the illusion of time. 8
The Track of the Ron describes the relationship between a thetan and a genetic entity and what holds a thetan in the body. Find out how one-way flows of the body trap a thetan and the anatomy of fear and an "anxiety stomach." Ron explains that in processing, there is no goal for the body as a body, the goal is for the freedom and rehabilitation of the thetan. Spacation: How to handle the idea that you can't have any of your own space in this universe. It's been perpetuated for 76 trillion years. 25 Flows: Reverse Vector of Physical Universe Ron explains why, in this universe, you get what you don't want, and can't get what you do want. He tells that a person's sanity depends on how much space he is able to maintain between terminals. 26 Flows:
Individuals are airier, lighter and more aesthetic the higher up the Tone Scale they go. Discover that the spiral down is the spiral of Agreement-Disagreement and how to reverse this game. The most valuable thing a thetan possesses is his spirit of play. 27 Flows: The Part Force Bears in Clearing Ron tells more about the between-lives area and how it comes about that memory of the last life is wiped out. Find out how to rehabilitate the thetan's ability to handle energy and flows. 28 Flows: The Part Space Bears in Clearing In one's own universe, all he had to do was say "let's do it," but in this universe, he could start something very easily, but changing it became a little harder, and stopping it became practically impossible. 39 Game Processing Ron covers how we could remedy the scarcity of food supplies on this planet, and about effective birth control that has no side effects. There must be a rehabilitation of the "spirit of play" for a thetan, and why this is so. Real serenity hasn't been felt for maybe 74 trillion years. 40
Games/ Ron explains that an auditor has to be willing to handle the force of the pc. The cruelest thing that can happen is for a game to deteriorate to a no-game state, where there isn't any game possible and everybody is stuck in it. A poor goal is better than none. There is no goal vast enough to absorb your total capabilities! 41 SOP Issue 3: Exercising the thetan perceptics. You can also get a Thetan Exterior, who will wonder if he ever was in that body. 42 Standard Ron tells that SOP is very simple, the do's and don'ts of auditing it. He gives an explanation of what courage is. There is no such thing as failure, only a lack of courage. Persistence and willingness to cause an effect are extremely important and why you need case assessment prior to diving into auditing the pc. 43 On
Auditing: Ron tells that there are about 12 to 15 races of thetans on earth, plus 5 races of GEs. He describes a few of these thetan races and their characteristics. Why convincing is done first by a thought and then by force. The description. of a drill for getting a thetan to lift parts of his body from outside the body and the formula for rehabilitating the thetan. 46 Goal: Rehabilitation Ron tells that the body goes to pieces because of its existence in a very hectic and inactive world. You. don't need to spend a lot of time handling body problems, just spring the thetan and then he can rapidly straighten it out. The handling for a thetan who "does a bunk," and splits out of the galaxy the instant you spring him out of his head. 47 SOP: Looking for proof, demanding proof, is no part of knowledge. What is true knowingness? What you have to be able to do in order to control this whole universe. 48 SOP: Ron explains that degradation is an inability to handle force. The way to get ahead in the world and dig yourself out of this universe is to recover the use of force. 49 SOP: A preclear can be using anchor points that are 18 planets away. Ron tells how you can reorient a preclear to this lifetime. Find out why children are sometimes afraid of the dark. 50
SOP: Spacation Step III, Ron talks about the steps of Spacation. Once a thetan has been sprung from the body, he has to be re-educated to create and contact sensations without the body. How the desire for sensation is the ONLY thing which keeps him in the vicinity of a body. 51 SOP: Find out how a thetan can be stuck on give, take or hold. Why a terminal is a special kind of anchor point. A thetan has less and less energy in direct relation to his inability to hold in view a facsimile. 52
Memory Ron explains how human memory is a sort of weird combination of stimulus-response. Why a thetan needs a memory and how he remembers things. Various methods of dressing up a body so it will work. 53
Memory and Ron explains what is automaticity and how a thetan after being in the MEST universe a while, uses less imagination and more automaticity. Find out how memory works, and the part it plays in complexity. How to keep the thetan improving - two necessities, interest and sensation. Demonstration Ron audits for the full length of this tape - getting the pc out of his head and having him use beams to lift his fingers, etc. The pc becomes fully exhausted just lifting his finger exterior without using the motor controls of the body. 56 Discussion of Demo: Ron tells how important gradients are and how everything goes solid when too steep a gradient is attempted. Why a thetan is obedient to flows below a certain point and how above that point he disregards them.
